Nepal is a country that is famous for the Himalayas. There is the part of the Greater Himalayas and there are altogether 1310 peaks in Nepal above 6000m and 90 peaks exceed more than 7000m. Among these mountains, 414 peaks are already open for climbing. The mountains of Nepal are famous all over the world. Among the 14 peaks, there are 8 peaks in Nepal above 8000m including Mount Everest, the tallest peak of the world.

Nepal is the best country for mountain climbing, trekking and hiking. The mountain region of Nepal has unbelievable land topography and unique combination of flora and fauna. In addition to this, the mountain region has spectacular culture and traditions. The highland ethnic villages provide us with the taste of a unique way of Nepali living. 

Mountains over 7000m are considered as specialized mountains and they are the best mountain for climbing preparation of the 8000m above peaks. Nepal Mountaineering Association has classified the mountains of Nepal into A, B and C grades in terms of difficulty level. The mountains above 6500m and below 7000m are just perfect for your climbing rehearsal for any 8000m above peaks around the world. Some of these mountains are very easy at the summit but difficult at climbing. Some other mountains are even technical ones. 

If you are a novice climber, we suggest you test with simple mountains and if you have some previous climbing experience, test with a technical one. Adventurous Peak Above 6501m – 700m

The mountains above 6501m to 7000m are categorised as the adventurous peaks. If you want to attempt any of these mountains, you need to obtain a climbing permit from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Department of Tourism and from Nepal Mountaineering Association (NAM).

Mountains over 7000 meters and beneath 8000 meters are considered as a specialized mountain and best for preparation climbing for  8000 meters peaks. In Nepal, there are 414 pinnacles opened by the Government of Nepal for climbing reason. Among them, 72 peaks are under the class of 7000-meter peaks.

There are various types of peaks among the 72 tops in the seven thousand meter class. Some are easy to the summit but difficult to climbing and some are technical one. For the tenderfoot climber’s simple pinnacles are proposed to climb and master climbers testing pinnacles are great to climb.

Mountaineering is one of the extra adventures in Nepal. The range of 6501 meters to 7000 meters needs a permit issued by Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation “Department of Tourism” and from Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA).
