The radiant sun rays gradually disperse every bit of mountain haze, providing you with a spectacular vision of the Himalayan surroundings. You can enjoy the stunning vistas of the breathtaking snow-clad Himalayas, including Manaslu, Himalchuli, Ngadi Chuli, Ganesh Himal, and many other surrounding peaks at utmost visibility, contrasting with the cloudless blue skies.
Moreover, with clear skies, dry weather, and clean air during this period, you can enjoy a worthwhile time catching the phenomenal vista of rolling hills, lush valleys, meadows, waterfalls, and other captivating landscapes even from the farthest distance. With the ample sunlight hours of the longer days, you have a slow and relaxed journey by immersing in the magnificent views along the way. The soothing mountain breezes add coolness to the warm sunshine, making the trekking and climbing journey of Manaslu a rewarding and comfortable experience.
Larkya La, the longest Himalayan Pass within the Manaslu Conservation Area, can be challenging to cross if the weather is not favorable. However, weather stability and comfortable moderate temperatures in spring and autumn allow easy crossing of the Pass. Trails during this time are clean, dry, slipless, and well-marked, making the ascends and descends on the narrow and steep sections of Pass relatively smooth and uncomplicated. Furthermore, temperate weather minimizes the risk related to extreme cold or heat, making the climb of Manaslu easier and more comfortable. Also, the ice and snow accumulation on the steep mountain slopes is less, making the ascent and descent pf the Peak relatively less challenging.
Here is the temperature range in lower and higher elevations during the trekking and climbing adventure in the Manaslu region.
Spring Temperatures | Autumn Temperatures |
Lower Elevations (upto 2,500-3,000 meters) Daytime temperature: 10-25 degrees Celcius Nighttime temperature: -5 to 5 degrees Celcius | Lower Elevations (upto 2,500-3,000 meters) Daytime temperature: 18-26 degrees Celcius Nighttime temperature: -5 to 5 degrees Celcius |
