Furthermore, experiencing multiple victorious peak top moments in a single adventure is like reaching a whole new level of exhilaration, personal growth and satisfaction to cherish for a lifetime.
The Pokalde Island and Lobuche are the three popular trekking peaks in the Khumbu region. This three peak expedition guides you to the summits of Pokalde (5,806 meters/ 19,048 feet), Island (6,189 meters/ 20,305 feet) and Lobuche (6,119 meters/ 20,075 feet). While climbing each of these peaks separately is not very difficult the combined journey overall can be a bit strenuous and challenging.
The three peak journey of Island Pokalde and Lobuche offers an adventurous trekking and climbing experience in the world renowned Everest region. Each of these mountains are ideal introduction for aspiring climbers with awe inspiring views and accessible challenges. The climb of these mounatins is possible for first time mountaineers without prior mountaineering experience. Difficulties of Island Pokalde and Lobuche Climbing
The climb of each Island Pokalde and Lobuche Peak is considered moderately difficult. However, climbing all three peaks one after another in a single go is a bit more challenging testing your physical endurance and mental resilience to the core.
This high Himalayan adventure is lengthy lasting around 18 to 25 days. Likewise, on average, you should plan to walk for about 6 to 7 hours each day to cover the daily trekking distance. Additionally, the walk can be quite challenging with several steep ascents and descents. So, the consecutive trekking days and long trek hours on rugged mountain routes are the primary difficulty of this Himalayan adventure.

Being physically fit greatly reduces the overall difficulty of any demanding high altitude adventure. You can incorporate cardiovascular workouts, strength exercises and altitude training to upgrade yourself physically. Additionally, you can practice hiking with a weighted backpack on local trails to enhance your balance and stability during the walks on uneven mountain terrain.
While Island Pokalde and Lobuche peaks do not involve extensive technical routes you need to know how to use basic mountaineering tools like ice axes, crampons and harnesses. This equipment is essential for navigating the few semi technical sections of the climb, like vertical walls, glaciers, steep ice, snow slopes, etc.
Like other mountain adventures this journey involves challenges such as remoteness, limited facilities, unpredictable weather and high altitudes. However, these challenges can be reduced through careful planning, proper preparation and appropriate packing.

Altitude Sickness During the Climb of Pokalde Island and Lobuche Peak
Yes, there is a possibility of altitude sickness during the high altitude climb of Pokalde, Island and Lobuche peaks. All three mountains are at significant elevations, with Pokalde Peak (5,806 meters), Island Peak (6,189 meters) and Lobuche Peak (6,119 meters). Gorakshep (5,164 m), Everest Base Camp (5,364 m) and Kala Patthar (5,545 m) are other alpine altitude points that you will reach during this journey.
At these elevated regions, the air is thinner and has low oxygen levels. While the symptoms of altitude sickness usually appear after crossing 2,500 meters, climbers on the alpine adventure of Island, Pokalde and Lobuche are at high risk of altitude sickness.

- The high altitude dry air may reduce your sense of thirst. However, you could be losing fluids more quickly due to an increased physical exertion and breathing rate. So stay hydrated by drinking water consistently to prevent dehydration and altitude sickness.
- Equip with a comprehensive first aid kit to treat minor injuries and health complications during the journey.
- Blisters often occur during long hikes. To prevent blisters, you can wear well broken trekking boots and change your socks frequently.
- Hire a licensed, experienced and well trained professional guide to ensure a safe, easy, uninterrupted and enjoyable adventure.
- Alpine Himalayan regions, particularly in the early morning and at night, experience a sharp drop in temperature. So, you need to carry thermal layers of clothes to stay warm and comfortable during chilly weather conditions.
- Be attentive to the symptoms of altitude sickness and if you notice any or feel discomfort inform your guide and descend to a lower altitude as soon as possible. Avoid trekking or ascending further until you completely recover from altitude sickness.
- The sunlight is strong at alpine altitudes, which can lead to tanned skin and sunburn. So, it is crucial to apply a suncream of high SPF to your hands, face, neck and other exposed areas of the body over a period of time. In addition, wear sun protection accessories like a brimmed hat, UV blocking sunglasses, sun gloves etc.

Pokalde, Island and Lobuche Peak Climbing
Thankfulness to the Peak Climbing Nepal team for having this fantastic package on their list. Otherwise, I would never be able to do one of Nepal’s best peak climbing expeditions. This itinerary, which goes to Pokalde, Island, and Lobuche peak, is a complete adventure.
With this team of Peak Climbing Nepal, I got the best assistantship. Trekking guides, climbing guides, kitchen staffs, and other crew members were all so lovely to my group and me. Our expert climbing guide was so good at explaining things. That helped us to follow up on the instruction. Our hard work and the team’s support were the two significant factors of the expedition. Both went hand in hand, and the trip became successful. These people were great at what they had been doing for some time. I highly recommend them.

Fabulous climbing package for real !
Pokalde, Island, and Lobuche climbing was one of my life’s best trips. I never expect that to happen at first. However, the expedition became fabulous with Peak Climbing Nepal’s cordial guidance. Climbing three peaks in a matter of a month is something I will cherish throughout my life. Each of the peaks had its type of difficulties. But I overcame everything with the experienced climbing guide. Thanks to him for showing me the right way.
Likewise, the other staff, from the kitchen to the porters, were helpful. The efforts of all the members, including me, have made the trip possible. I would suggest this agency to anyone for peak climbing in Nepal. You will not regret choosing them.

A big shoutout to the team!
I never in my dream thought I could climb three different peaks in on single month. Well, that happened to me last month. I got the best crews for a trip full of uphills, snow, and mountains. The tour went so smoothly that I never realized how I climbed three peaks.
Among all three peaks, the Lobuche Peak was a bit technical. But I did my part nicely. All of the long preparation and patience made me climb the peaks comfortably. How can I forget the true devotion of my team? The cookery staffs, the guides, and the porters all were hardworking and welcoming. A big shoutout to the team!

Three Peaks Climbing Pokalde Island and Lobuche Climbing
It is a trustworthy company for Three Peaks Climbing Pokalde Island and Lobuche. With full arrangements for fixing climbing permits of Three Peaks Climbing Pokalde, Island & Lobuche, we cooperated online regarding the exchange of official documents, such as submitting our details with passport copies and flight details. There was absolutely no problem with the payment.
We received top class service during the whole climbing duration. Ang-Dendi Sherpa, our climbing guide had a top-level of technical climbing skills. Together, we did a successful climb to the summit of all three peaks. As we love climbing, we enjoyed every moment of the climb. Many thanks to all the Sherpa team members who did all the hard job from carrying all the necessities and with humble and cooperative nature. Our kitchen crew provided us with hygienic meals and served very well.
We have a lot of pictures from the climbing days, we want to do more climbing with Nepal Guide Treks in future. We heartily recommend this company for professional service while you explore the hidden corners of the mountain country of Nepal.
