Mera Peak – 6,461 meters
Mera Peak 6,461 meters is an attractive peak. That rises to the south of Mt Everest and dominates the wild and uninhabited valleys of Hongu and Hinku. Mera Peak is officially the highest trekking peak in Nepal. And it was first climbed in 1953 by J.O.M Roberts and Sen Tenzing. But, the proper ascent of Mera Peak was also made in 1975 by French climbers – Marcel Jolly, G. Baus and L. Honnis who climbed the North Peak following the same route as Roberts. But traversing along the connecting ridge to the further summit. The challenging and adventurous climb of Mera Peak summit offers magnificent views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and other surrounding high peaks.

Mount Baruntse – 7,129 meters
Mount Baruntse is an attractive mountain that is also located in the heart of Khumbu or Everest Region of Nepal. This fascinating mountain rises from the lap of Mt. Everest and Mt. Makalu and lies at the epicentre of three glacial valleys – Imja, Hunku, and Barun. Furthermore, Baruntse Expedition with Mera Peak Climbing is the most accessible 7000-meter peak in this region. And it helps to offer the challenging, difficult and hard sections of 50 degree’s elevation with several sections of technical climbing and risks of an avalanche.
It was first ascended by Colin Todd and Geoff Harrow on 30th May 1954 by the South-East Ridge. In recent years, Expedition of Mount Baruntse has gained popularity among adventure-seeking climbers, along with other popular expedition mountains such as Everest, Pumori and Ama Dablam in this region. The rewards of the summit day include up-close views of Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu.
Baruntse Expedition and Mera Peak with Nepal Guide Treks and Expedition starts at Kathmandu. After spending two days of sightseeing and making climbing preparation at Kathmandu. We will take a scenic flight from Kathmandu towards the airstrip of Lukla. In like manner, Lukla is the gateway to Khumbu and entire Everest region. From Lukla we start our trek passing through densely forested areas, terraced farmlands and villages dominated by warm and friendly Sherpa people towards Mera Peak base camp and further up to High Camp.

Experienced Sherpa Guide for Climbing
Once at the high camp our Sherpa crew will quickly set up the camp and make necessary checks on our climbing gears and health conditions. Following the directions and instructions are also given by our experienced climbing experts. In the same Fashion, We will overcome several technical sections and head towards the summit of Mera Peak at 6,461 meters. Once at the top we are also rewarded with stunning views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and other surrounding peaks. After spending quality time at the summit, we will descend retracing our steps back and head towards Khare.
Trekking to Mera La Pass, Seto Pokhari, Amphu Lapcha Pass
Furthermore, after having the achieved summit of Mera Peak. We continue to trek on the trail. That goes along the remote mountain valleys towards the crossing of Mera La Pass at 5,415 meters and pass through Seto Pokhari to arrive at Baruntse Base Camp. With extra days of acclimatization at the base camp. We head towards Camp I at an altitude of 6,150 meters at the South-East Ridge.
From there we will have to climb 50 degree’s snow slopes with several technical sections. And it is also done by our experienced climbing experts as we head towards Camp II at 6,450 meters. From Camp II we head towards the summit of Mount Baruntse for enjoying spectacular views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and other surrounding high peaks. With this Intention, We will spend short quality time at the summit before descending down to base camp.
In addition, After the achievement of Baruntse Expedition with Mera Peak summit, we will retrace our steps back to Seto Pokhari. From there, our trail is a gradual climb for the crossing of Amphu Lapcha Pass at 5,845 meters. From the top of the pass we descend all the way down to Chhukung, from then we trek passing through Dingboche, Pangboche and Namche Bazaar before arriving back to Lukla. Our adventurous and thrilling climbing adventure of Baruntse Expedition with Mera Peak ends with a sweeping flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu.
