Note: It is not possible to visit all world heritage sites in Kathmandu within a day. So you can choose at least 3-4 places for day sightseeing.
Meals: BB Plan
After having breakfast at the hotel, we will be transferred to the domestic airport for a flight from Kathmandu to Biratnagar. It takes approximately about forty-five minutes of flight journey to reach Biratnagar. After landing at Biratnagar, we will take a drive to reach Taplejung – the starting point of the trek. The drive journey takes about five-six hours from Biratnagar to reach Taplejung. We will spend our overnight at Taplejung before starting our trek, the following day.
Meals: All Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Today is the first day of our trek. We start our trek from Taplejung by descending on a trail that goes along the terraced farmlands and heads all the way down to Tamur river. We will cross the river over a suspension bridge and then continue to follow the trail that gradually climbs through beautiful paddy fields as we head towards a small farming village of Mitlung.
Meals: All Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
From Mitlung our trail is uphill trekking for a while before descending down to the beautiful and small village of Sinwa. It is a village with a school. Don’t be surprised to see the children’s running around us as we pass across the village. They are always happy to greet every visitor passing by. After a making, a short stop at Sinwa our trek passes through Tawa before trekking uphill to cross a suspension bridge at Thiwa. Our trek continues until we arrive at Chiruwa for our overnight stay.
Meals: All Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Leaving Chiruwa, we follow the trail that is a gradual ascent for about thirty minutes. The valley broadens as we continue our trek and begin to make a gradual downhill descent to the beautiful meadows. We will have to make a stop at the park’s registration office for registration before crossing the river and continue trekking on a flat trail for a while. Our trail from there is a downhill descent all the way down to Tamur river. We cross the river and trek until we reach Sekathum.

Our trail passes through pine forest before arriving at the yak herders’ settlement of Phole. At Ghumsa we will take a walk up to a small hydro-electricity power plant system which plays a vital role in sustaining the daily lives of the local people of Ghumsa.
Meals: All Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
By now we are above 3500 meters above sea level. So to avoid any kind of mental and physical altitude sickness we will take a day rest at Ghumsa. Besides, Ghumsa offers some good hikes options that are best for spending a good acclimatization day. The best route climbs through forest areas and heads up towards Lapsan La at 4200 meters. Moreover, it is possible to make a phone call back home or send post-cards to your loved ones from Ghumsa.
Meals: All Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After spending a full day rest at Ghumsa, we continue on our trek by following the trail that goes along the east bank of the river and crosses a bridge at Rampuk Kharka. We need to be very careful and watch-out for stone falls while trekking over the landslide affected areas. We will trek for a while and then arrive at Khambachen for our overnight stay.
Leaving Khambachen, our trail goes along the north bank of the river. We need to be very careful as we trek over the trail that is often slippery and icy. After crossing a bridge we continue our uphill trekking in order to arrive at the grazing grounds of Ramtang. From here we will follow the trail that is very narrow and loose, we descend down to the river and continue our trek until we arrive at Lhonak.
Meals: All Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

After spending quality and memorable time at the viewpoint we retrace our steps back to Lhonak.
Meals: All Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Today is a rather short and easy day of trekking. From Lhonak we will follow the trail that descends downhill to reach Ramtang. If we are lucky we may have an opportunity to spot blue sheep trying to find food in steep mountainsides. Our trek continues until we arrive at Ghumsa for our overnight stay.
Meals: All Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Leaving Ghumsa, we start to follow the trail that passes through picturesque villages and then the hydro-electricity plant before climbing into a densely forested area filled with juniper and rhododendron trees. We will follow the trail that goes along the south side of the ridge and continue our trek until we arrive at Sele La Base Camp.
Meals: All Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
From Sele La Base Camp we will start our trek towards a ridge from where we will get magnificent views of East Face of Makalu and South Face of Jannu Himal. Our trail steepens as we head towards the crossing of Mirgin La Pass at 4480 meters and from the top it is a short descend before climbing another pass Sinelapche La at 4730 meters. We will descend decently to arrive at Cheram.
Meals: All Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Our Sherpa crew will set up the camp and make necessary preparations for further trekking to higher altitudes.
Meals: All Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Leaving Yalung Base Camp, we begin our trek with a gradual ascent over rocky and loose trails. The trails in this section are often snow-covered and icy. So, we may have to make use of ropes and crampons. Our climb can be tiring, so resting every now and then helps in restoring energy while trekking in higher altitudes. We will arrive at a good camping site known as Bokta Peak Base Camp.
Meals: All Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
From Bokta Peak Base Camp, our trail climbs up on top of a rocky ridge and from there we will gradually climb to reach a good camping site at 5,720 meters. Once we reach our campsite, our Sherpa crew will set up the camp and make necessary checks on our health conditions and climbing gears needed for climbing the summit of Bokta Peak.
Meals: All Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Today is the day we all were desperately waiting for. Fully acclimatized and properly equipped we start early with the aim to reach the summit before noon, as the strong winds after midday can create obstacles in reaching the summit. Following the footsteps and guidance of our experienced climbing experts we will overcome several technical sections and head towards the peak summit. Our tiring climb to the summit of Bokta Peak is rewarded with magnificent views of Kanchenjunga, Kumbhakarna, Dhormo Peak, Nupchu and several snow-capped mountains. We will spend a short quality time at the summit and then descend following the same route back to the base camp.
Meals: All Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

And it has become one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. The team was professional, friendly and knowledgeable about the entire journey. This made me secure for the worries I had as a first time trekker. The accommodations along the route were cozy and comfortable. And the meal was fresh and delicious. Our trekking guide, Dawa, did everything that could make our journey more enjoyable and remarkable. The Manaslu region was otherworldly. The landscapes that changed from lowland hills and valleys to rugged high altitude terrains were a feast for my eyes. The most adventurous part was crossing the Larkya La Pass. Standing at its breathtaking height was both exciting and rewarding experience. For everyone looking forward to the Manaslu Circuit Trek I recommend you book with Nepal Guide Trek. I am sure that you will not regret it.Load more
