Himlung Himal Expedition
Himlung Himal Expedition is one of the classical and iconic Himalayan expeditions popular as one of the easiest and least technical peaks in the 7,000-meter class. Due to the fewer technical segments on the mountain and the safe climbing route, the Himlung Himal Expedition has the highest record summit success rate in comparison to other peaks.
Himlung Himal was only opened for tourists in 1992 and was scaled for the first time by a Japanese expedition team in the same year. Standing tall in the same Himalayan belt as the towering giants like Manaslu and Annapurna, this magnificent peak is located near the border area between Nepal and Tibet.
This expedition starts by joining the mainstream trekking route of the Annapurna region, then deviates toward the Nar and Phu Valley to the Manaslu region, northeast of Annapurna. Himlung expedition in Nepal explores the remote-secluded regions of the Nepal- Tibet borders and across the mysterious hidden valley in the Himalayas, Nar, and Phu that were opened to tourists only recently.
So, if you are looking for a Himalayan expedition of moderate scale, slightly more challenging than the regular trekking peak, to test your mountaineering skills. Himlung Himal is an ideal introductory peak to the 7,000-meter class and a safe practice ground for your expeditions on the world’s highest 8,000-meter class peaks.

All lodges bar one were very good. Flexible approach and success on the peaks. Would use again. elockie182024-11-12Verified Mera Peak We had a great time doing Mera Peak trek. Our guide Samdu was good company and knowledgable. We had some issues with stomach illness, yet he still allowed us to try for the summit (which we made) as he had established our level of experience and trusted we would back out if became unwell with altitude sickness. There were some issues with communication regarding the itinerary and equipment, but these were sorted out (so would be 4.5 stars). We were very grateful for flights in and out of Lukla, when many were going via Ramechap. christina2024-10-17Verified Unforgettable Journey to Manaslu Circuit Trek I recently had an opportunity to trek the Manaslu Circuit with the Nepal Guide Treks team. And it has become one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. The team was professional, friendly and knowledgeable about the entire journey. This made me secure for the worries I had as a first time trekker. The accommodations along the route were cozy and comfortable. And the meal was fresh and delicious. Our trekking guide, Dawa, did everything that could make our journey more enjoyable and remarkable. The Manaslu region was otherworldly. The landscapes that changed from lowland hills and valleys to rugged high altitude terrains were a feast for my eyes. The most adventurous part was crossing the Larkya La Pass. Standing at its breathtaking height was both exciting and rewarding experience. For everyone looking forward to the Manaslu Circuit Trek I recommend you book with Nepal Guide Trek. I am sure that you will not regret it.Load more
