Swayambhunath lies at a hilltop to the southwest of the bustling city. There are several chortens, ashramas, prayer flags, and praying wheels around the stupa. Similarly, the temple of Hariti, prayer flags, and chortens of Boudhanath give the religious touch.
The next locations are Kathmandu Durbar Square and Narayanhiti Palace. These are the ancient Royal Palaces that reflect Nepal’s history. Featuring some of the greatest royal halls, courtyards, and golden taps, these palaces are also home to ancient arts and artifacts.

There are two major monasteries around the Luri region. The first is Luri Gompa, located below the Luri Cave Monastery. After exploring the first gompa, we will ascend uphill through the Luri Cave Monastery and explore the second one.
Both Gompas carry a great significance of Buddhism in the region. They were built in the 15th century, and the inscriptions of the images and statues of Protectors and deities run all around the walls of these gompas. Tonight we will stay at a gompa.

Physical Preparation:
Before climbing, trekkers must hike through the Upper Mustang region and Tibetan Plateau to reach Saribung Base Camp. Before climbing, Trekkers must traverse major destinations like Lo-Manthang, Tsarang, French Base Camp, and Saribung Base Camp. These locations are situated over 4000 meters of sea level. So the weather condition might not be as expected. Similarly, going on more than 5 to 6 hours of daily hikes is physically exhausting, for which we need to prepare earlier.
Trekkers must have robust physicality and undergo altitude training, cardiovascular exercises, and others. It will be better if trekkers have prior climbing experiences.
Permits

Similarly, porters carry your heavy loads, including your backpacks, belongings, gear, and equipment. It makes it easy to embark on a challenging journey. And it will spare time to enjoy the climb and hike through the remote location of the Saribung region.
Peak seasons like autumn (mid-September to November) and spring (March to May) are the best seasons for the Saribung Peak Climbing. The weather in both of these peak seasons is stable and warm, with clear days. Even though the high-altitude environment of the Himalayas can be unpredictable at times, there is a very low probability of rainfall and snowfall during these peak seasons. The temperature of the Saribung region is around 18 °C to 22 °C during the springtime and 15 °C to 20 °C during autumn, with the temperature dropping upto 5 °C during the nights.
Spring is known as the blooming season for life in the Saribung region, as the trails and even diverse flora and fauna of the region are at their peak during this time; that is why this season is famous for the natural exploration of the region. On the other hand, monsoon-washed terrains, clear wide vistas of the Himalayas, and breezy chill morning-night followed by mild day temperatures adds freshness to the Saribung Peak Climbing expedition.
Although Saribung Peak Climbing is doable throughout the year, the weather difficulty in winter (December to February) and monsoon (June to August) can be quite challenging, especially for a beginner. The temperature of the region during the winter is about 10 °C in the lower regions and averages below minus degrees at higher elevations. Similarly, which is also the summer season in Nepal sees a spike in temperature up to 30 °C and heavy rainfall that results in road blockage, slipper trails, landslides, and itinerary pushback with flight delays is considered the most non-convenient season for this expedition.
Saribung Peak Climbing is considered a ‘challenging climb,’ Saribung Peak Climbing although this expedition is not labeled as a technical climb due to high elevation points and isolated trails, this beautiful expedition of the Himalayas is considered a difficult excursion. During this mountain expedition, you will be covering the remote trails on the off-beaten path, ascending to the staggering altitude of 6,238 meters; to reach the summit, you will cover a distance of approximately 6 to 7 hours per day on average.
If you have any previous experience in high-altitude adventures or have scaled the mountain over 6,000 meters, then this expedition might not be that challenging for you. Even if you are new to mountain expeditions, scaling this mountain will not be that strenuous if you have done the proper preparation. KT T2025-05-01Verified Pisang Peak I had a wonderful time with Ngawang Sherpa who was my trekking/climbing guide. Even though we couldn't summit the peak due to me having AMS sickness, i absolutely enjoy myself with the company of my guide and 2 very friendly porters. Never a day dull and as a first timer to Nepal, i am glad i choose Nepal Guide Treks and Expedition as my trekking company. Upon arriving, I met my guide Sonam Sherpa, who was absolutely amazing the entire trek. He clearly has a wealth of knowledge that enabled me to summit Mera peak feeling safe (don’t discount just how high the peak is) and have a great time along the way. The communication was excellent and replies to any questions were super quick. The guide, climbing sherpa and porter were absolutely amazing! Their knowledge of the area, plants and wildlife are amazing! Unfortunately due to weather, we didnt manage to summit but I had a amazing trip none the less and was looked after and guided fantastically. When i got back to Kathmandu, i decided to spend the last three days in Chitwan for a safary and again, the company were really helpful to organise a outstanding trip, from one day to the next.I highly recommend Nepal Guides and Expedition!A massive thank you to all of the team! Prakash and entire Nepal guide treks team were very accommodating and helped us in every step. One of my friend didn’t have enough jackets but Prakash in no time organised everything for him and made sure we all are happy. Will definitely be coming back! Expedition1524372024-11-30Verified Top class service and guiding Professional operator! Kept me informed during booking process by WhatsApp. Excellent guide and porter. All lodges bar one were very good. Flexible approach and success on the peaks. Would use again. elockie182024-11-12Verified Mera Peak We had a great time doing Mera Peak trek. Our guide Samdu was good company and knowledgable. We had some issues with stomach illness, yet he still allowed us to try for the summit (which we made) as he had established our level of experience and trusted we would back out if became unwell with altitude sickness. There were some issues with communication regarding the itinerary and equipment, but these were sorted out (so would be 4.5 stars). We were very grateful for flights in and out of Lukla, when many were going via Ramechap. christina2024-10-17Verified Unforgettable Journey to Manaslu Circuit Trek I recently had an opportunity to trek the Manaslu Circuit with the Nepal Guide Treks team. And it has become one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. The team was professional, friendly and knowledgeable about the entire journey. This made me secure for the worries I had as a first time trekker. The accommodations along the route were cozy and comfortable. And the meal was fresh and delicious. Our trekking guide, Dawa, did everything that could make our journey more enjoyable and remarkable. The Manaslu region was otherworldly. The landscapes that changed from lowland hills and valleys to rugged high altitude terrains were a feast for my eyes. The most adventurous part was crossing the Larkya La Pass. Standing at its breathtaking height was both exciting and rewarding experience. For everyone looking forward to the Manaslu Circuit Trek I recommend you book with Nepal Guide Trek. I am sure that you will not regret it.Load more
