Best Time for Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing
The most ideal time for the Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing is during the peak seasons like autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May). The weather conditions are more favorable and stable during these seasons, and the cultural and natural allurements are just phenomenal.

The temperature of the Pachermon and Kyajo Ri Peak region averages around 17 °C during the daytime with the maximum hitting the 25 °C margin.

Expedition Difficulty
Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing expedition can be classified as a ‘semi-technical’ expedition. Climbers have to overcome the technical segments of the mountain including the mixed terrain of ice, snow, and rock.
This expedition requires the climbers to traverse across the glacial segments and navigate around the crevasses including the steep ice and snow slopes. So, climbers need to have an adequate amount of mountaineering skills and excel at using several mountaineering tools. Itinerary
Kathmandu Elevation: 1,345 meters/ 4,411 feet
Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), our representative will receive you at the airport with a clear board sign with your name. From there you will be swiftly transferred to your respective hotel and our representative will also assist you with the check-in procedure and your luggage.
Depending upon your arrival time, after getting enough rest you can also head out to check some of the close by attractions or just stroll around the streets of the bustling capital checking out its nightlife, cafes, and restaurants.

Day 2 of your Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing will be a sightseeing and exploration day of the charming capital of this Himalayan country. You will explore some of the most significant cultural, religious, and historic sites in this day’s adventure including the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
After completing your day tour, you will visit our office located at Thamel where your climbing guide will brief you about your Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing expedition. If you have any unfinished shopping, you can use this day to buy or rent gear at the shops in Kathmandu.

You will start the adventure of Day 3 in your Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing with a scenic cross-valley flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. You will board an early morning from the domestic terminal at the TIA, flying over the beautiful settlements in the deep valley, lush green hills, and sparkling rapid rivers, you will also be able to enjoy the stunning aerial views of magnificent peaks in the Himalayas.
After landing at Lukla, you will meet the rest of your expedition crew here, you can take your time and stroll around the Himalayan town checking out its highlights and shopping. During the second part of this day’s adventure, you will trek from Lukla toward Phakding following the trails on the mountainside. You will move along the left bank of the Dudh Koshi River passing lush rhododendron and pine forests, after arriving at Ghat Village, several uphill and downhill segments along the trail will lead you to Phakding.

Moving along with the fourth day’s trekking adventure in your Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing, today you will make your way toward the charming Sherpa capital leaving behind Phakding. You will continue your trekking adventure alongside the soaring Dudh Koshi Rivers on this day as well and pass through the scenic rhododendrons, fir, and oaks forests.
Today, on your trekking trail, you will pass several charming high Himalayan settlements like Jorsale, Chhuma, Benkar, and Monjo heading toward Namche. After arriving at Monjo, the gateway of the Sagarmatha National Park, you will descend the stone steps and cross a suspension bridge, a steep climb during the last stretch will; finally lead you to Namche Bazaar.

As you have gained a significant altitude by Day 4 of your Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing, Day 5 will be an acclimatization day in the expedition for you to properly adapt to the rising altitude. Physical activities are recommended for an effective acclimatization procedure, so you will do some short hikes around the region and use the rest of the day to explore this bustling Sherpa capital.
Most of the trekkers hike to Syangboche, Khumjung- Khunde Villages, and Everest View Hotel during the acclimatizing day at Namche. You can also just stroll around the high Himalayan settlement and admire their culture, traditions, and lifestyle. If you are lucky, you may also be able to take part in the ‘Haat Bazaar’ (weekly market) that takes place in Namche every Saturday.

After acclimatizing properly to the rising altitude, on Day 6 of your Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing, you will continue your trekking adventure heading toward the first objective of your expedition. Leaving Namche behind, you will follow the trekking trail to the north-west into the Bhote Koshi Valley, the trekking route is well-lit with dotted rhododendron, fir, and pine forests
Moving along the trekking trail, you will reach the old small Sherpa village Thamo, a short ascending trek from this village will lead you to Mende. It is a small high Himalayan village at the entrance of the Kyajo Drangka on the way to base camp.
5 to 7 hours trek Camping

Kyajor Ri Base Camp Elevation: 4,550 meters/ 14,925 feet

On Day 7 of your Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing you will finally advance toward the first peak of this expedition. Leaving the Mende Village behind you will continue your trekking on the remort parts of the Khumbu Valley. Moving past the Mani walls and faint yak pastures you will enter the Kyajo Drangka, the secluded broad valley on the south of the Kyajo Ri.
After hiking for several hours on the ascending trail, you will finally reach the summer yak pasture, the Kyajo Ri Base Camp is situated on the flat surface between a small river and the rocky mountains. Your expedition crew will set up the camp at a suitable spot and prepare warm food for you, today you will spend the night in a tent at the base camp.
Camping
Kyajor Ri Base Camp Elevation: 4,550 meters/ 14,925 feet
As you have overcome an altitude of over 4,500 meters, Day 8 of your Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing will be the second acclimatization day of the expedition. You will do some short hikes around the base camp to acclimatize properly to the rising altitude and stroll around the region admiring the fascinating views of the Himalayan peaks.
This will be also the day for the gear inspection, today you will make sure you are well-equipped with the climbing gear and if they are functional. Your expedition guide will also brief you about the scaling starting tomorrow morning.
5 hrs Tented Camp
Kyajor Ri Base Camp Elevation: 4,550 meters/ 14,925 feet
Kyajor Ri Camp I Elevation: 5,200 meters/ 17,056 feet
Elevation Gain: 650 meters/ 2,132 feet
It is finally time to scale the first peak of the Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing expedition, today you will leave the base camp making your way on the alpine slopes of the Kyajo Ri mountain. During the first two hours of this day’s scaling, you will make your way through grassy spurs and boulders on the mountain.
Proceeding further, you will follow the ascending trail on a rocky section with boulder and skid pebbles, about three hours of steep uphill ascend will then finally bring you to the Kyajo Ri Camp I near the Kyajo Glacier. You will camp here tonight.
Tented Camps
Kyajor Ri Camp I Elevation: 5,200 meters/ 17,056 feet
As you have entered the alpine environment, Day 10 in your Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing will be an acclimatization day. Today, you will use this day to adapt effectively to the high-altitude alpine environment.
You can do some side hikes around Camp I to acclimatize properly to the new environment and your expedition crew will also check your health conditions to determine how well you are adapting to the rising altitude. As acclimatization is a significant aspect of a successful expedition, you can also push for Camp II and return to Camp I for a night stay.
4 to 8 hours Tented Camps
Kyajor Ri Camp I Elevation: 5,200 meters/ 17,056 feet
Kyajor Ri Camp II Elevation: 5,700 meters/ 18,700 feet
Elevation Gain: 500 meters/ 1,640 feet
Moving along with your scaling adventure in Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing, today you will head to Camp II on the mountain leaving Camp I. It is a bit of a demanding day’s adventure today as it involves technical segments, moving along your ascending trail, you will overcome the mixed-faced slope tilting at 55° and maneuver your way around the rocks and on glaciers.
On this day’s calling adventure, you will also need to use crampons, fixed rope, and occasionally, ice axes. After a few hours of demanding scaling, you will finally arrive at Camp II situated near a glacial lake. Your crew will make all the necessary arrangements for the summit push tomorrow and from Camp II you will also be able to clearly observe the climbing route to the top of the mountain.
4 to 6 hours Tented Camps
Kyajor Ri Camp II Elevation: 5,700 meters/ 18,700 feet
Kyajor Ri Peak Summit Elevation: 6,186 meters/ 20,290 feet
Elevation Gain: 486 meters/ 1,594 feet
It's finally time to push all the way to the top of Kyajo Ri, on Day 12 Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing expedition, you will start your summit push early in the morning to reach the top before noon. Moving along the ascending route with rocky segments and boulders you will make your way toward the glacier.
You will maneuver your war on the steep ice and snow segment on the mountain moving toward the southwest ridge, the small section of rock climbing on the snow and ice will finally lead you to the summit of the mountain. From the top of Kyajo Ri, you will be able to enjoy the incredible views of the Himalayan peaks like Makalu, Cho Oyu, Ama Dablam, Baruntse, Lhotse, Everest, and other adjacent peaks.
After relishing the ambiance of the magnificent Himalayas from the top of the mountain, you will climb down to Camp II and celebrate your victory.
4 to 6 hours Tented Camps
Kyajor Ri Camp II Elevation: 5,700 meters/ 18,700 feet
Kyajor Ri Base Camp Elevation: 4,550 meters/ 14,925 feet
Elevation Loss: 1,150 meters/ 3,772 feet
As you have completed the scaling of the first peak in your Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing, you will climb down to the base camp from Camp II. Retracing your steps back on the glacier, rocks, and skid pebbles segment you will make your descent toward the base of the mountain.
Leaving the alpine slopes of the mountain, tonight you will rest comfortably in the warm tents at the base of the mountain preparing for the adventure starting tomorrow.

Concluding the exhilarating scaling adventure of the Kyajo Ri in your Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing expedition, today you will start your journey toward the second objective of your adventure. On this trekking adventure, you will retrace your steps back to the Sherpa capital passing through the subtropical forested areas with rhododendron, pine, and oak forests.
Moving ahead on your trekking trail, you will walk on the bank of the Bhote Koshi River and cross it before heading toward a 45-minute uphill ascend that will finally lead you to Namche Bazaar.

On Day 16 of your ambiance Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing adventure, you will move toward the second objective of this expedition, Pachermo Peak. Leaving the Sherpa capital behind you will head toward the wide pastureland near the Khure Kharka.
Following the trail to Phunki Tenga, you will trek beside the Bhote Koshi River during the first part of this day’s adventure. Then moving further ahead, you will head toward the Thame Village and a steep ascend during the last stretch will finally take you to the wide flat surface of Thyangbo Kharka with good camping sites and several teahouses.

It’s another day of high-altitude adventure on Day 17 of your Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing, advancing further in your expedition you will follow the ascending route on the rocky slopes heading toward Ngole.
Enjoying the spectacular views of the Rolwaling Peak and other magnificent mountain ranges in the Khumbu region you will walk past the wide pastures following the steep climb passing several small forests and villages to reach Ngole.
Camping

On Day 18 of your Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing, you will finally begin your scaling on the second peak of this expedition. Leaving Ngole behind you will make your way to the mountain on the rock and boulder-stewed path, then you will switch your trail to the glacial moraines after reaching the base of the mountain.
Your expedition team will make all the necessary arrangements for your scaling of the mountain as you follow the route from the northwest ridge heading toward the Parchamo Peak High Camp. You will rest here today in a safe and suitable camp area acclimatizing to the alpine high-altitude environment.
Camping
Parchamo Peak High Camp Elevation: 5,500 meters/ 18,044 feet
After scaling at such a significant altitude, Day 19 of your Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing will be an acclimatization day. Enough rest period to acclimatize properly at the high altitude alpine environment is necessary for a successful summit.
So, today you will do some short hikes around the high camp enjoying the magical Himalayan ambiance and the spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. You will also participate in practice climbs where your expedition guide will teach you how to use the mountaineering tools efficiently and some insights on the scaling starting tomorrow.
After thorough gear inspection and boosting your confidence with practice climbs, you will rest early tonight as your climbing begins early in the morning.

The big day is finally here, today, in your Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing, you will scale the second peak of your expedition. Your expedition will start pre-dawn to avoid afternoon strong winds, making your way on the snowy steep sections of the northwest ridge you will push for the summit.
Following the guidance of your expedition leader, you will take small steps on the crevassed glacier and serac segments hedging toward the top of the mountain. From the top of the Parchamo Peak, you will be able to enjoy the spectacular views of the Himalayan gems like Cho Oyu, Ama Dablam, Kusum Kangeur, Thamserku, Gaurisankhar, Makalu and several other adjacent peaks.
After enjoying the views from the top of this magnificent peak, you will climb down the mountain and return to Ngole where you will celebrate your successful scaling.

It is time to conclude your Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing expedition, after a successful summit of both of the peaks on Day 21 you will commence your return trip. You will begin your downhill trekking on the rocky mountain slopes of the Ngole heading toward the wide pasture and flatland of Thyango Kharka.
Passing through several high-altitude settlements and small forests, you will finally arrive at Thyangbo. The stunning views of Makalu, Ama Dablam, Rolwaling, and other magnificent peaks in the Khumbu region will accompany this day’s trekking adventure. Overnight stay at a teahouse in Thyangbo.

Continuing along your descending trail, on Day 22 of your Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing adventure, you will trek down to Namche from Thyangbo. Leaving the alpine environment behind, you will re-enter the subtropical forested areas where your trekking trails are decorated with dotted rhododendron, oak, pine, and fir forests.
Traversing along the trekking trails beside the Dudh Koshi River you will continue along the route that drops to Phunki Tenga. After several ascend, descend, and a steep climb during the last stretch you will finally re-enter the charming Sherpa capital.

Day 23 will be the last day of your trekking adventure in your Pachermo and Kyajo Ri Peak Climbing expedition. Today, you will descend down the scenic trails decorated with rhododendrons, fir, and oaks forests alongside the banks of the Dudh Koshi River heading toward Lukla.
Switching to the trails of the Bhote Koshi River, you will cross the river three times before heading toward a 45-minute uphill climbing segment which will bring you back to Lukla.

This scenic cross-valley will be a memorable part of your expedition, and after arriving at Kathmandu you will be transferred to your respective hotels. After getting enough rest you can stroll around the capital exploring the local restaurants and cafes.
