The Pisang Peak Climbing costs US$2355 per person. We have crafted an itinerary of 19 days, including your arrival in Kathmandu, sightseeing and departure after completing the expedition. 

This invigorating adventure starts with a drive from Kathmandu to Chamje. You can explore picturesque villages like Dharapani, Chame, Upper Pisang, Manang, Muktinath and many others during this adventure.

Additionally, you will also cross the Thorong La Pass (5,416 m). It is one of the world’s most challenging trekking passes. This combination of trekking and climbing makes Pisang Peak an absolutely intriguing Himalayan adventure.

Permits 

Before you proceed on any high-altitude adventure, such as Pisang Peak climbing, acquiring the required permits is mandatory. The permit system keeps a record of the trekkers and can track their movement, making it easy to locate them during emergencies. 

Also, the funds from these permits are used to preserve natural resources, build better infrastructure and minimize environmental degradation by following the eco tourism principles. 

For Pisang Peak, you will have to obtain the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP) as you will be trekking through the protected area of the Annapurna Region. In addition, you will also require a Pisang Peak Climbing Permit. 

If you book your Pisang Peak climbing tour with us, we will smoothly secure both of the permits required. Permit costs are fully covered by the Pisang Peak climbing package.

Accommodation

Comfortable accommodation is a must during trekking and mountaineering. When you sleep well and get the required rest, you will be full of energy to start each day.  During this adventure, you will stay in hotels in the city, teahouses while trekking and in a tented camp before climbing Pisang Peak.

In Kathmandu, you will stay at one of the best hotels in Kathmandu with a breakfast plan. On beginning your journey, you will stay in cozy teahouses and on climbing days, you will sleep in tents that are set up at base and high camps. After completing the climbing journey, you will stay at Pokhara in a renowned hotel. 

All the accommodation costs are included in your Pisang Peak Climbing package. The teahouses along the Annapurna trail are clean and comfortable. You will have a simple but warm setup with a bed, blanket, mattress, and pillow. 

These teahouses also offer you the opportunity to interact with other trekkers and experience the warm reception of the owners. Staying at the base camp and high camp in the tented camp offers you the most unique experience as you will experience the thrill of being in the high altitude area as well as get treated to alluring Himalayan scenery.  Our Pisang Peak Climbing package covers the cost of accommodations, arranging your stay at best places throughout the journey. 

Meals During Trekking and Climbing 

Climbing and trekking require energy, and for that, having nutritious food is a must. Likewise, you will be served full-board (breakfast, lunch, dinner) during climbing and trekking days and its cost is included within the package.  

Our package also includes breakfast in Kathmandu and Pokhara. You will have breakfast and dinner at the reserved teahouses during the trekking phase. Your lunch will be arranged at one of the teahouses en route.  

Meals that are generally served at teahouses are Dal Bhat (Nepal’s staple food), toast, noodles, pasta, eggs, chowmein, vegetable soups, momo, potato, porridge, roti, and chowmein.

At base and high camps, our staff will prepare warm and nourishing meals to keep your energy up for the climb. You will also be treated to a warm welcome dinner before the journey starts and a farewell dinner after the climb giving us a chance to share information, understand your preferences before the journey and hear your feedback after the trip ends. 

Certified Guides

Your Pisang Peak climbing adventure will be led by an insured, trained and experienced certified climbing guide. Their role is to ensure your safety, provide technical support, and guide you through every move during both the trekking and climbing phases.

The trekking route passes through scenic villages like Chamje, Dharapani, Chame and beautiful  Upper Pisang. You will reach the Pisang Peak Base Camp and then transfer to High Camp to acclimatize for summit ascent. The trails are steep and rocky in some sections. However, with the support of the guides, you can navigate each part safely and confidently.

In addition to guidance, they will be there to motivate you and provide much-needed encouragement for a successful ascent. During the journey, you will be trekking through several villages and get chances to see and observe the local culture, which is one of the most intriguing parts of Himalayan excursions.

Guides will help you communicate with the locals and translate for you, enriching your experience. During emergencies, they will arrange evacuations and also provide first aid. The guide’s salary, insurance, food and accommodation expenses are all covered by the climbing package.

Navigating the varied terrains of the Annapurna area with a heavy backpack isn’t an easy activity. Porters support is needed so that they will support you by carrying your heavy luggage during both trekking and climbing days. Their assistance can help to trek easily with no burden.

Our porters, who have experience, keep your gear secure and get it delivered on time. With their assistance, you can enjoy the scenery and navigate the terrain smoothly. Their salary, food and insurance are covered by our Pisang Peak climbing package. 

Transportation Costs 

From your arrival, we will take care of all transfers like airport pick-ups, hotel drop-offs, and private transport for sightseeing in Kathmandu. 

You will take a scenic ride to the trailhead, Chamje, in a comfortable private vehicle. Likewise, from Jomsom, you will fly to Pokhara and return to Kathmandu, enjoying the scenic road journey.

All your ground and domestic air transportation will be smoothly arranged and its cost is included within the package price. 

First Aid Kit 

Mountain climbing involves some risk, especially in remote and high-elevation locations. There may be minor accidents, altitude illness or exhaustion. For your safety, we carry a first aid kit with all the essential supplies. Still, if you prefer, bringing your first aid kit can provide additional reassurance. 

Climbing Gear and Equipment 

While climbing, you will require some general equipment and we can provide that.  Our package includes equipment like fixed rope, jumar, tent, kitchen equipment, shovel, main rope, mattress, snow bar and tape sling. These are the essentials that you will need during the peak climbing journey.

Nepal Visa and International Flight Ticket

Prior to entry into Nepal, you need to obtain a visa. Visa duration varies (15, 30, or 90 days) and can be extended based on the timing that you have allocated for the Nepal trip. In addition, you may book flights by any airline you prefer, depending on your chosen schedule and budget that you wish to allocate for the journey. 

The cost of domestic flights and road travel is covered by the package within Nepal. However, the international flight to and from Nepal and Visa costs are not included in the climbing package.

Personal Climbing Gear 

The package price does not include the cost of personal climbing gear. While group equipment is provided, you will need to manage your personal gear separately. You can choose to either purchase the gears or rent them.

We also provide equipment like crampons, headlight, Ice axe, climbing boots, sleeping bag, trekking poles on rent and you may contact us if you need it. 

Having high quality gear is essential for safety and success while climbing. So, make sure to check recommended gear checklist for Pisang Peak and pack accordingly. 

Travel Insurance 

Having insurance is essential for high altitude adventures like Pisang Peak Climbing. The insurance policy will provide financial security and peace of mind during this adventure which involves both trekking and climbing. 

In general, the insurance policies provide coverage for high altitude risks. So, you must choose the policy that provides coverage for medical expenses, loss of baggage, trip cancellation and emergency rescue by helicopter, etc. 

The insurance premium would be determined based on the duration and altitudes. For Pisang Peak Climbing, we recommend you choose the policy that covers above 6000 meters. With travel insurance, you will be evacuated instantly from the region in emergencies. Travel insurance is not included in the Pisang Peak Climbing Package Price. You have to purchase it on your own. 

Before buying the insurance plans from the company, you can check for their policies and coverage.  In addition, you need to read their terms and conditions carefully to be assured that they cover all the high altitude trekking or climbing risks.

Tips for Staff 

Tips for your climbing crew are not included in the package cost and it’s totally up to your wish. Though tipping is not mandatory, it is something that is highly appreciated by the climbing crew. 

Many climbers give tips to their guides and porters and staff, expressing gratitude for their help and work. Tips are an additional source of income for the climbing crew which will help them support their livelihood. 

Generally, the climbers tip around 10% to 15% of the total trip cost. However, you may tip the amount that you feel is worth giving according to the service you have received.

Personal Expenses 

You will need to cover your own personal costs during the trip. These may include warm clothing, trekking equipment like gloves and trekking poles, toiletries, personal medications, snacks, souvenirs, and various other miscellaneous expenses. 

Other personal costs include internet, hot showers, and charging electrical devices at tea houses during the trekking phase. The expenses of full board meals during trekking and climbing are covered by the Pisang Peak package. However, it doesn’t include the cost of lunch and dinner during your stay in Kathmandu. You are free to explore the restaurants and choose the dishes on the basis of your preferences.

You can try a variety of dishes during your stay in Kathmandu and Pokhara. Both of these famous touristy places have local eateries, to high end restaurants. You may either opt for having local delicacies or choose the fine dining experiences. 

As you are in Nepal, you must have traditional flavourful dishes. We strongly recommend that you try some local dishes. In case you miss your comfort food and wish to have familiar flavours, there are several cafes and restaurants where you can find it easily. Having some cash set aside in case of unexpected expenses that can come up during the journey is essential for peace of mind.
