After you reach Lukla, you will be involved in exploring the surroundings and later, you will be heading toward Namche.

Reaching Namche is one of the extensive phases of Lukla. Many of our itineraries had stops between Lukla and Namche, but in this package, we will be heading directly to Namche, which will take around 8-9 hours.

Namche is a traditional Sherpa community town that has been modernized with the development of tourism in the region. You can see the majestic beauty of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, and other peaks from the place. Later that night, you will be accommodated in a tea house with a warm meal.

Once you reach it, you must explore the surrounding place, but what's essential is to acclimate your body and mental state. You will take a full day's rest at Namche after a long hike from Lukla a day before. But being that said, it does not mean you will not explore the surrounding place. You will go for a short hike to Thame and return back to Namche.

While acclimatizing, you should focus on rest, enough sleep, and hygienic and nutritious food. Drink enough water and avoid any narcotics and alcoholic periods, or it will cost you a lot during this expedition. Also, you should be mentally ready in this phase before embarking on Ama Dablam Expedition.

Make proper use of your gears like cramptons, axes, and ropes for your safety. Camp 2 is located at 5,944 meters, so prepare yourself with physical abilities that comprise lungs and breathing entities.

Day 9

Reserve Day (in case of bad weather, if the weather is clear, we will summit on the same day)

The ninth day of the Short Ama Dablam Expedition has two options, all depending on the weather. If the weather worsens, we will take this day as a reserve day and rest to prepare for the summit. But if the weather is good enough to do the climb, we will summit the Ama Dablam peak on the same day.

So be ready for the awe-striking experience at the peak of Ama Dablam. That said, do not miss to consider safety measures during the climb.

The tenth day is the day of success since you will reach the top of Ama Dablam's peak. Your dream of years and preparation of months will come true on this day. Essential Information

Weather And Temperature During 15 Days Ama Dablam Expedition

Weather/Temperature Condition During Summer

Ama Dablam lies in the northern part of Nepal featuring cold temperatures. But in the summer season, you will find a hotter environment than in other seasons. Stay calm about that because the summer seasons are also a key time to feature rain and storms.

Since Monsoon comes in the summer, steady rain is normal, which can be a problem for many mountaineers. The day is relatively hotter than the nighttime, and the average temperature can be anywhere from 8 Degrees Celsius to 22 degrees Celsius in the daytime. But the night time can reach 0 degrees Celsius. So be ready to endure the temperature at night.

Weather Condition During Winter

Winter seasons are the harshest seasons in the Himalayas including Ama Dablam. The temperature can reach up from -10 degrees Celsius to -18 Degree Celsius. The days are relatively mild, with the sun hitting the Ama Dablam region and warming it up; however, the night times are harsh and can be troublesome.

You might also experience the pointy winds and regular snowfall that make the temperature fall below 0 Degree Celsius. The cold temperature is also a significant factor that can cause breathing problems for many mountaineers leading to altitude sickness. So, preparing well and taking oxygens with you would be better.

Weather Condition During Spring

Spring Seasons are the most suitable time to go for Ama Dablam Expedition. As we all know, the Spring seasons bring a mild temperature with an open sky and fewer clouds; you might find it overwhelming to see the surroundings and their beauty from the peak of Ama Dablam.

Temperature between -6 degrees Celsius to 10 degrees Celsius is standard in Ama Dablam during the Spring Season. That said, you still have to prepare for the night stay as winds and snowfall might be coming at any time – you never know because the weather is unpredictable in the Himalayas.

Weather Condition During Autumn

After the Spring Season, the Autumn months are the second best time to take on Ama Dablam Expedition. As in the spring, the weather is pleasant, and the skies are clear. So you don’t have to worry about the clear view of Ama Dablam, its peak, and the surrounding environment.

The temperature of the Ama Dablam region during this time can be anywhere from 7 degrees Celsius to 20 degrees Celsius. But like other seasons, you better be prepared for the night times. Carry warm and thermal layer clothes and a sleeping bag – also, do not miss warm gloves, caps, and socks for a pleasant and warm stay inside your tent.
