Day 1

Arrive in Kathmandu (1,345meters/4,411feet) and transfer to Hotel

Our representative member will meet you at the airport on your arrival schedule. Our private vehicle will be on standby at your service to transport you smoothly to your hotel in Kathmandu. Upon arrival at the hotel, our representative staff will help you with the check-in process and furnish you with essential details about the hotel stay.

Ensure proper acclimatization, pay attention to the safety protocols, and use established and proper routes for climbing. Day 25

Rest and acclimatization at Camp I

Camp I at Kyajo Ri serves as an important acclimatization point. Send a day there to adapt to the rising higher elevations. Rest, hydrate, and be involved in light activities to acclimate. Monitor your health and pay careful attention to the symptoms of altitude-related sickness. This strategic rest period prepares you better for the subsequent stages of the climb.

Day 26

Climb from Camp I to Camp II (5,700meters/18,696feet)

After a day of good rest and acclimatization at Camp I, we follow the route to Camp II, navigating the steep rock and icy sections using fixed ropes and crampons. Our climb continues till we reach Camp II at 5700 meters. Camp II is a crucial staging point, allowing climbers to optimize their mental and physical readiness for the demanding Kyajo Ri summit climb. The mesmerizing Himalayan views from the Kyajo Ri Peak serve as a testament and visual feast of the amazing high-altitude environment’s beauty.

Day 27

Summit Kyajo Ri and descend back to the Base Camp

Summiting Kyajo Ri is a rewarding endeavor after a challenging ascent. From Camp I, we proceed through higher camps following the established routes to finally commence the summit expedition from High Camp II.

With an early start, we follow a careful pacing adherence to safety measures. After reaching the summit, you can have quality time witnessing the summit views of the Himalayas, capture photographs, and celebrate the success of climbing all three peaks including the most challenging peak, Kyajo Ri. Begin a controlled descent, allowing time for rest, acclimatization, and hydration, and return to each camp methodically. Eventually, we descend back to the Kyajo Ri Base Camp.

Day 28

Trek from Base Camp to Namche Bazaar

The trek from Kyajo Ri base Camp to Namche Bazaar involves retracing your steps along the same trail used during the approach. Descend through the scenic landscapes, passing through higher camps and relishing the panoramic mountain views. Take your time to descend, as quick descent can impact acclimatization. Once reaching the Namche Bazaar, savor the lower altitude and soak into the vibrant culture of the iconic Sherpa town.

Day 29

Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla

As you take off from the Tenzing-Hillary Airport (Lukla Airport), be prepared for a short, thrilling flight with panoramic vistas of the Himalayas. Once in Kathmandu, contrasted between the bustling city and serene mountain landscapes, you will feel the adventure and peace achieved.

We will transfer you back to the hotel, and you can either rest or visit the remaining sites of Kathmandu Valley that were not covered during the prior sightseeing day. Enjoy the evening celebration meal of conquering the three peaks: Island Lobuche and Kyajo Ri.

The difficulty level of each climb varies, involving several impacting factors. Kyajo Ri Peak is the most challenging in terms of difficulty level, with the involvement of technical ascent through advanced mountaineering gears. Lobuche Peak falls between the two with some high-altitude trekking experience and the use of climbing equipment. Island Peak is the least difficult of the three, serving as an excellent training ground for honing basic mountaineering equipment. It provides climbers with valuable experience for future mountaineering endeavors.

What are the Required Permits?

Permits are issued by the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) or the Department of Tourism (DOT). However, trekking with agencies facilitates permits in the package, and the tour operator manages necessary arrangements on your behalf. The permits required for Island Lobuche and Kyajo Ri Peak are the Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit, the trekking permit (TIMS card), and the Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Permit (permit to trek in the local region). Moreover, a separate permit fee is required to climb each peak: Island Lobuche and Kyajo Ri.

The common permit fee to climb all three peaks costs NPR 3,000 for the Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit and NPR 2,000 for the TIMS card. Likewise, the Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Permit costs $ 20 per person/week (for the first 4 weeks) and 25$ per person/week (beyond 4 weeks). The individual permit fee for the Island Lobuche and Kyajo Ri Peak climbing costs 250$ in Spring, 125$ in Autumn, and 70$ in summer and winter.
